Some of the Important First Aid Kinds
The following is suggested list of supplies and medications that would be useful for a group of four persons traveling for two weeks or more on trek in Nepal. It is based on the experience of what happens most often to people in trek. The list should be modified to adjust for individual preferences and allergies, and for the remoteness and difficulty of travel. (See the earlier table of medications and their use in the Medical problems and treatment section of this chapter for more information on the medicines in this list.
- Supplies
- Thermometer (low reading preferred)
- Scissors
- Tweezers
- Roll of tap(two cm adhesive or paper)
- Sewing needle
- 10 gauze pads
- Large sterile dressing.
- Rolled cotton bandages
- Band – aids (plasters)
- Moleskin
- Muslin triangular bandge (for sling)
- Betadine antiseptic
- Elastic bandage
